- Lots of wonderful events happened during our “1st Dubai group social”…
1.) We managed to connect 2 alumni who both worked on the opposite site of the same legal deal from the same parent company.
2.) We had some alumni from Australia came straight to the event after being landed in Dubai just a few hours before the event started.
3.) Some of us were looking for job opportunities and had found some valuable insights and made meaningful connections.
4.) A handful of alumni took the effort to travel from Abu Dhabi and joined us.
Last but not least, we realised we have crossed paths before and/or have a handful of mutuals connections. The world can really be a small place!

- Our “2nd Dubai group social”…
We found out a few positive anecdotes from “1st Dubai group social”…
1.) An angel investor discovered potential investment opportunities from the meet-ups.
2.) Lots of construction lawyers managed to connect to each other and soon, they will be joining another law group/society.
3.) One of us discovered that one of our co-workers is another King’s alumnus’s sibling.
4.) Similar to our “1st Dubai group social”, we had people travelling into Dubai from Abu Dhabi – Few of us looking for jobs had made some useful connections in their industry.
Not to mention that one of us has landed a role recently through our Alumni community from a connection made at the first social!
Do you have any interesting story to share with other alumni? Please contact us.
