We at KCLA are pleased to announce that Georgina will be joining King’s as Executive Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations ‘P&A’—as the division will be known—succeeding Jenny Younger, who served as Executive Director for Fundraising.

Georgina will begin her role at King’s in early November, joining from the University of Cambridge, where she currently serves as Managing Director of Development. During her time at Cambridge, she was part of the team that successfully delivered the University’s £2bn fundraising campaign, ‘Dear World…Yours Cambridge,’ which closed ahead of schedule in 2022. Prior to this, Georgina held the position of Director of Development, Schools and Institutions, leading the team responsible for fundraising for the University’s non-medical academic schools, departments, and collections.

Georgina began her career working with international NGOs before transitioning into higher education, and she brings over 20 years of experience as a professional fundraiser for non-profit institutions.

The Executive Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations joins King’s at an exciting time as we refocus our fundraising and alumni relations functions to ensure we can continue to meet our philanthropic ambitions. Georgina’s experience and expertise will be instrumental in enabling us to deliver an integrated fundraising and engagement programme, rejuvenate alumni relations, and secure transformational gifts as King’s approaches its 200th anniversary in 2029.

The King’s community looks forward to welcoming Georgina in November 2024.

On her appointment, Georgina said:

I am thrilled to be joining King’s in the Autumn and look forward to working with the vibrant academic community and leading the fantastic philanthropy and alumni relations team. I am excited about what we can achieve together for King’s and the society it seeks to serve.
